LIFE Training

LIFE Training is discipleship training program for young homeless who want to begin their journey off the streets.
It provides an environment where they can receive personal healing, grow in their relationship with God and learn to discover God's calling on their lives.
An important aspect of LIFE Trainings is that young people who used to live on the streets stay with us, become a part of our fellowship and participate in our daily activities. We encourage them to embrace the Christian faith. When they do so, their lives are transformed and they find true meaning and purpose.
All those who have participated in LIFE Training have seen a tremendous change in their lives and relationships.

Emphases of the LIFE Training:

We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only answer to a broken life, a hurting soul and destroyed relationships. For this reason we study the bible together with our participants and teach them to live a life based on biblical principles. Corporate prayer, devotion and worship are also part of the daily life.
We know that a familial environment is very important for personal restoration and we believe in the biblical blessings that come out of a life-sharing lifestyle. Most activities at the LIFE Training are done corporately and we want to sensibilize the participants to care for one another. It is important to teach the participants skills and to train them in taking responsibilities, being reliable, being punctual and other characteristics.
We also provide pastoral care for our participants and help them work through their wounded past in order to experience healing in their personality and restoration in their broken relationships. The LIFE Training takes place at our LIFEHOUSE facility. The duration of the LIFE Training will be determined according to the individual development of the participant.

"My name is John Turner Jr. I am 26 years old and was born in Minneapolis , MN . I moved to Austin , TX in the spring of 2002 and I spent the next 5 years on and off the streets in and out of Jail and hooked on IV drugs.
