Make A Christmas Gift
On Christmas Day we will have a huge party on the street. This has always been a highlight for our homeless friends and they are really looking forward to it.
Like every year we will serve goulasch soup and donuts, give away clothes and presents, share the word of God and pray for people.
As the weather is getting colder, life out on the streets is becoming more challenging or just simply harder. We are greatful that we are able to help a huge number of people every day by welcoming them into our Cream And Sugar Trailer.
It is really amazing how little can make a big difference. A cup of coffee, a pair of clean socks and some warm clothing.
Please help us by donating warm clothes. Hoodies, sweaters, jackets, sleeping bags and blankets are especially needed.
Please e-Mail us at info@hfan.org to schedule pickup.
If you would like to support this event financially, please donate here. Thank you very much!
Six Weeks On The Mission Field
My name is Lydia and I am a student at the S.E.M. (School of Evangelism and Missions) in Lüdenscheid / Germany. For the past six weeks I have joined the HELP for all Nations team, together with four fellow students.
I've had a really good and challenging time here! It has very much fun and I have grown in my faith.
One of our tasks was to renovate a house for staff members. When I first saw the house, I thought we never could do it. There was so much work to do. Cleaning, painting, remodeling and moving stuff around.
Three times a week we joined the HFAN team on the outreaches to "the Drag". This is the place where a lot of the younger homeless people hang out.
It has touched me very much to learn under what circumstances these people live and how much they need Jesus!
God showed me again, that in my weakness he is strong. My English is not good, and I had a hard time figuring out what the people on the street were saying.
So very often I would go and invite more people to come to the Cream And Sugar trailer. This was a little easier for me.
It was nice to see how open and understanding the homeless people were. I realized how much they long for acceptance. To them is is very precious if we lend an ear and give a little of our time.
The Lord has put a deep love and appreciation for the street people into my heart. My time here has been really awesome and I would love to come here again.
