From Germany: Florian Joos
Hello! My name is Florian Joos, I come from Germany and would like to spend one year with HELP for all Nations as a volunteer.
Right now, I am doing a three-week internship. After these three weeks, it will be decided if I can start my time here in September.
God has supernaturally opened doors so now I am here in Austin, Texas, and I can check out what my time here would look like.
At the moment we are working on getting the LIFEHOUSE Training Center ready. We are currently renovating an old mobile home on our land and this is quite a lot of work. The house is, unfortunately, really run down. I can see first hand that being a misionary involves a lot of practical work.
Moreover, I am going to the streets to serve the homeless that come to the Cream And Sugar trailer. I believe that God is using me as a tool to show his love and appreciation to these valuable people.
That is exactly what Jesus did. He hung out with the unwanted and with the overlooked.
He showed them God's love and accepted them as they were. I am learning once again that God's heart is for the poor and needy.
For me it is not easy, since it is still difficult for me to understand the Texas slang. But I am very excited about the things the Lord has prepared for me and I am looking forward to see him work through me.
