in Austin
In the last editions of inside, we reported in detail about our planned summer campaign. Two weeks ago we finally moved into our temporary headquarters here in the inner city of Austin. For the most part we are finished with the renovation of the building. So many wonderful friends helped us in the move and in the remodelling and without their aid, we would have not been able to come here so quickly.
We would like to say "Thank you" to the youth group of Tree of Life Church in New Braunfels, especially to the Hitzfelder family. They have helped us in the renovating and in getting the staffs appartments ready. Moreover we thank Ron and Janine Parrishand all friends of Hope in the City who helped us to get furniture and supported us in many ways. We are excited about God's faithfulness and provision. So we look forward to all the outreaches and worship times we are going to have on the street this summer and fall. We are at the right place, at the right time. Exactly where the Lord wants us to be.
no time to rest
Now the first step to Austin has been made. Nevertheless we do not have time to rest. Still we are on the search for a permanent home for HELP for all Nations. The building, in which we live right now will be torn down in January 2006.
To start this new era of our ministry we will need finances for the first rent, the deposit, the fee for water and electricity hookup and monthly support to cover the expenses (rent and utilities). We are grateful for every kind of help.

inventive love
Sometimes the completely small things are the most important.
Clark (name changed), is our spoon player. He loves to play with us when we worship Jesus on the street. He is homeless and lives on the streets of America. With his spoons he is an awesome percussionist and it sounds really great. During the last weeks we became very good friends. We told him repeatedly about Jesus, about the love of God and constantly prayed for him.
Recently he was very sad and frustrated when we met him.
He also did not play his spoons. He told me that he had lost them. We started to sing and to play and after a few minutes he went away to get some spoons, in the nearby cafe. As he returned I already could tell that it didn't work out. They only had plastic spoons! Since it was my desire for him to experience the love of God, I considered, how I could probably help him. Then the holy spirit gave me an impression. It occurred to me that I had two spoons in my lunchbox, back at our car. Fast walking, getting the spoons and handing them over to him I asked: "Do you know, how much Jesus loves you?"
He laughed and already wanted to give an answer, when I showed him the spoons. He was so happy that he gave me aq big hug. This small gift really touched Clark and I believe that he came closer to Jesus on this afternoon. Out of his gratitude he gave me his valuable "glass jewel" which he had found in the trash and had kept it for a special moment.
