inside #6 - June 2005
The Lord has blessed us in so many ways and we are excited about all the awesome things He is doing among us. In this edition of inside we have some great testimonies. You will also learn about the summer campaign that will be going on for the next few months. We hope you will enjoy reading it.
hot summer
We plan to do a major evangelistic campaign on the streets of Austin during the next few months.
In addition we would like to strengthen our public relations. It's our desire to become a part of the body of Christ in Austin and to get to know other christians, churches and ministries. We hope that the result would be a network of friendship and support.
For the realization of this project three appartements in a four-plex building were offered to us. It is located near the campus and we are allowed to use them temporarly for the next few months. [read more...]

public worship
Worship changes the spiritual atmosphere. That is the reason why we worship the Lord in the darkest places. It is amazing to see how God's presence touches the hearts of those who are lost.
Just recently, a punkrocker who looks really scary walket up to us shortly after we had finished one of our worship sessions.
He said:
"You don't even have a clue how great the impact of your christian songs is. A few days ago a young girl was here and she was planning to commit suicide. Then she heard you singing and she did not do it...."
We could not believe our ears but were encouraged to continue to praise and worship Jesus in public.
Mark said:
"Thank you very much for the sleeping bag you gave me that day, it was a great help for me".
The incident he was talking about took place around on and a half years ago during winter time.
He also said:
"In case nobody told you this already: Thank you for what you are doing"
an e-mail
Ashley is a young girl (19 years old) and she is pregnant. We met her in Austin. She wanted to go back to Dallas but didn't have the money for the bus ticket. All the people she asked refused to help her so we decided to buy the ticket and brought her to the Greyhound station. She was happy to finally be able to go home. It was not a big deal for us but her friends, whom were with her while she was staying in Austin, were really touched. One of them wrote us an e-mail to say thank you.
Here are some excerpts of Teddy's e-mail:
"Hey, I don't know if you remember me or not but I'm Teddy the guy with all the tattoos. We met at the square. Well I just wanted to e mail you and thank you for who you are as a person because getting Ashley that bus ticket was very nice of you ..... so again thank you and I think the world or nation is already a better place because of you....."
For us it was a great encouragement to hear what our work means to someone from the street.
new car for the ministry
The ministry's car (Van) broke down a few days ago. Because of the high repair costs and the condition of the car it's not worth to get it fixed. Still our ministry strongly depends on a vehicle. Therefore we would like to ask you for help. Do you know of way how we could acquire a new vehicle?
