God's chosen generation
The idea that there is a lost generation of young people with whom God wants to write history has always excited us.
However, they are not the kind of people that one would call a winner. Nor are they people one would consider honorable. They live on the edge of society and do not correspond to the ideal of successful and exemplary. They are "losers". For most of them life has lost its meaning after only 17 years. They are chained to their past which draws them continually deeper into self-destruction.
But not all of them are victims. Some live their rebellious lifestyle with "noble" pride. With all of their strength they fight against God and against all what they consider "normal" life. Most of them are indescribable gifted and talented. They have a big potential which God wants to use to change the world. Until now they have been using their talents in the opposite way. But God is able to transform them through Jesus' victory on the cross. He already sees them as preachers, evangelists, missionaries and wonderful men and women of God. They are pearls in the mud. They have to be rescued and to be cleansed. God loves to choose the losers, the weak and the rejected ones. He wants to glorify himself through this lost generation and he wants to become mighty in their weakness.
level 1- get startet
As HELP for all Nations we are deeply moved by this vision. In the past 1 1/2 years we reached out to the young homeless people in Austin, Texas.
Three times a week we drive to Austin (one way is 75 miles) to spend time with the Runaways and to share Jesus with them. Many opened their hearts and they started to trust us. Our relationships to them grew deeper. For us it was important to be present and we've already become a part of the street life. Through prayer and worship in public we have an impact on the spiritual atmosphere in the whole area.
Now we feel the call to go one step further. Until now we have only been able to do outreaches several times a week. Our hearts desire is to be with these Runaways 24/7. We want to live where they live. That's the reason why we are about to move to Austin as a ministry. Right now we are busy finding a house for the staff to live.
level 2 - get local
We see these changes as an essential step in the growth of our ministry. We want to move further into the good things which the Lord has prepared for us in the city of Austin and in the whole United States. Spiritaully and financially we are about to reach new levels.
Therefore we are grateful for every kind of support. To start this new era of our ministry in Austin we will need $4500.- . This amount contains the first rent, the deposit and the fee for water and electricity hookup.
We are also in search of people who will help us to meet our monthly expenses of $2500.- (rent and utilities).
We would like to thank you for all your help and support, we really appreciate your friendship. It means a lot to us!
