During the last few weeks, a lot of new runaways have come to Austin. Many of them we have never met before. It is always challenging to get in touch with new people especially when they gather in large groups. One time, when a lot of runaways had gathered on the steps of a church, a girl recognized us and started a conversation. We had met her last year and had bought her a present for her birthday. We were glad that she remembered us. Suddenly more people started talking to us. We were in the midst of it all. We were amazed how the LORD had opened a door for us to get in touch with all these wonderful people.

Most of these travelling kids live on the streets by choice. They are looking for a better life. Being frustrated by whatever, the runaways break away and look for happiness and peace but instead they slide into drugs, poverty, hurt and isolation. But we know that there is only one way to experience life. His name is JESUS. He is the way, the truth and the life. To experience his love, forgiveness, provision and healing is the best that can ever happen to anyone. The LORD has called all of us to a life full of hope and opportunities. The blood of Jesus is sufficient, no matter what the need is. This is the good news we preach !

the covergence mandate - in Nashville

In the beginning of the month Gerald and Kurt attended the Convergence Mandate conference in Nashville, Tennessee. This meeting was hosted by ProVision International ,the ministry of Scott McLeod. Speakers were Bob Jones, Dr. Michael Brown, Lou Engle and others.
We went there because it is important for us to get to know other ministries and their leaders. All of us are building the kingdom and it is so good to get together. It was a very encouraging time with a lot of prophecy and teaching. Being able to hear Lou Engle and the vision of "theCauseUSA" really touched our hearts. During this time we made new friends and made a lot of contacts. God really wants to send revival to America. It is amazing to hear and see all the things He is doing in this nation.

HELP intarnational - help to the tsunami victims

January 16 through January 26, a team of HELP International was sent to the tsunami struck region in Thailand. The team visited the effected regions in the south, starting in Khao Lak up to Ranong. On location, our co-workers got informed about opportunities to join in the rebuilding of the destructed areas. They were touched deeply by the picture of destruction enfolding before their eyes:
traumatized people who are expected to manage their "normal" daily life; a former paradise marked by the devastation of a monstrous wave; people who just escaped, gaining their lives once again; orphaned children and orphaned parents; deserted hotels and packed camps - There, in one of these camps, north of Khao Lak, a great opportunity for a humanitarian aid project opened up. Praphat, a village in the Ranong province, was totally destructed by the wave. A huge war ship near the shore was turned around like nothing, fishing-boats squeezed like nutshells and houses and resorts wiped out.
The following projects will be launched in the named village:
+ building of sanitary facilities
+ building of temporary houses for the people of the village
+ repair of the fishing-boats
+ building of permanent houses for 15 families of the village
