We saw the group of young homeless from far away. As we approached them they greeted us. Phil was especially happy to see us. He knew us from last year and he began to talk to me. He told me about his travels around the U.S. and all the problems with heroin and alcohol that he has.
During the past few years we were able to share the gospel with a lot of young homeless people and show them the love of God through our friendship and practical help.

My name is John Turner Jr. I am 26 years old and was born in Minneapolis, MN . I moved to Austin,TX in the spring of 2002 and I spent
the next 5 years on and off the streets in and out of Jail and hooked on IV drugs.
We bought an old schoolbus and will turn it into living space.
With this project we hope to be able to create living space for 3-4 people and have them
living with us on a long-term basis. Lately we have met several homeless that would like
to get off the street and start all over again.
Amy is a 18 year old girl. Forced by the divorce of her parents and the
chaotic lifestyle of her mother she ended up living on the streets.
During the last week, after the remodeling of our two door garage, the Brunner family finally moved into our house in Buda. Now we can stay all together as a team and this
makes things a lot easier for us. We are grateful for the Lords provision and we look forward to all the exciting things that he
has prepared for us.
First of all we would like to thank you for all your prayers and support in this matter.
Since middle of January we now have a new home. This house belongs to a friend of ours and
we are allowed to use it for the next 6 to12 months.
We had a very nice
Christmas as a team and also with the homeless and runaways.
In the same way as last year we had a party at the Renaissance market on December 25th. It was
our hearts desire to celebrate the birth of our Lord with those who have no place to
go. More than 40 people came and were excited about our goulash soup and the presents.
We also served hot chocolate but with the hot weather people where craving cold drinks.
