Walter Heidenreich
Walter is the founder of HELP for all Nations, president of the Free Christian Youth Community (FCJG) in Lüdenscheid (Germany) and HELP International, the international branch of FCJG overseeing and covering the international ministries in Europe, Asia and the USA.
He had a powerful encounter with God while he was still a drug addict with no Christian around, and God radically turned Walter's life. Since this encounter Walter has been walking with God. Walter's heart is fervently burning for Jesus, revival and missions.
He is a nationally and internationally credited and well-known evangelist and conference speaker, who spends several months per year abroad ministering to churches, running crusades and ministering to the poor, needy and the lost.
In over 25 years of his ministry he has initiated a variety of big events in Germany, i.e. March for Jesus (with approx. 135,000 visitors), several national and international missions congresses (in Germany, Switzerland, and Mongolia), and the Revival Worship Event 2000 in Karlsruhe (Germany) over the turn of the millennium with 10,000 participants from over 40 nations.
Walter's heart has always gone out to the young generation and he wants to see them being released into their calling as well as further reconciliation between the generations. This desire made an impact on teenagers' congresses in Lüdenscheid, Recklinghausen (Germany), international youth conferences in several nations (i.e. in the Philippines with approx. 100,000 participants), and The Call in Berlin in 2003 (with 12,000 participants). He also was the initiator of STREAM 07 at Pentecost 2007, which took place in Dortmund.
This has been one of the few interdenominational and international youth events to which 3,000 young people came. This event is about to become a movement.
Furthermore Walter is the author of several books, whereas his autobiography HELP - I need Somebody has become a bestseller among Christian books even after over 10 years of its first release, and it still is a blessing to many people worldwide. Meanwhile this book has been translated into 8 different languages.
Only recently he published the follow-up story of HELP - I need Somebody called When Dreams Come True, which so far is only available in German. It covers the past 30 years of Walter's life.
He has also released three German versions of the Praying the Bible series (Eyes & Wings, Apostolic Prayers and Prayers for Israel). His desire is to go back to the simplicity of the Word of God, thus experiencing Jesus' power, which is available to every believer, who believes in the Word of God and acts upon it.
Quotes
"Walter's story is a powerful story of God's grace and God will use it to call many other honest seekers to Himself. The compelling simplicity of Walter's pursuit of God should shake our complacency-isn't this what normal Christianity is to be?"
Gary Best
Leader and Pastor VINEYARD, Langley, Canada
"Walter has much more than a great story to tell. His life has produced a stream of stories, all of which flow from the same source-a simple commitment to obey Christ's teaching in today's world. Success and failure, joy and pain are woven together in this inspiring account of contemporary discipleship."
Graham Kendrick

"Walter's story encourages me at a very deep level, for God is not nearly finished with His wonderful plans for Germany and the German-speaking people throughout the earth."
